WHO NEEDS TO PERFORM QURBAN?

Qurban is mandatory for every Muslim who has reached the age of puberty, and who can afford it.

Any sane, adult, Muslim male or female who possesses the Nisab amount for Zakat must also perform the duty of Qurban. Furthermore, Qurban is also compulsory for every family member, including children. It is paid by the parents unless the children themselves are adults.
